Lan option missing from Distant Guns

Howdy I am trying to set up a Lan multilayer game at my place (we have two separate accounts). We are not having luck with TCP. 5113 udp is unblocked and both PC firewalls allow distant guns. However when setting up a multiplayer game we don't get an option for LAN like it shows in eth player guide, just TCP. Hosting looks OK but attempting to connect (either PC s) shows no games found. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks.
